Sol Calero – Cuadernos Pica Pica is the first comprehensive monographic publication dedicated to the work of Venezuelan-born, Berlin-based artist Sol Calero. Conceived as an evolving publication in the form of a serial magazine, it brings together five individual issues (01–05), offering an extensive overview of the artist’s practice from 2013 to 2023.

Published as a set of five magazines, Cuadernos Pica Pica features in-depth texts and rich full-colour photography, tracing the development of Calero’s artistic language across painting, installation, and immersive environments. Together, the five issues offer insight into the themes, visual references, and cultural narratives that inform her work, while serving as a comprehensive record of a decade of artistic production. The title Pica Pica takes its name from a Venezuelan spirit and a chapel in Los Llanos, where visitors are said to have their wishes granted.
