Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair returns to the historic location of the very first Fair, 548 W 22nd St.

Printed Matter Art Book Fairs are a celebration and critical platform for artists’ books and publishing activity from around the world. Over the course of 4 days, visitors can attend dozens of free conversations, workshops, performances, and other artist-led programs. NYABF 2022 programs also include curated exhibitor projects, exhibitor awards, the Opening Night After-party, publication-focused exhibitions, our first ever Block Party, and much more!

Opening Night is the official kick-off event of NYABF 2022 and first opportunity to visit the Fair! The event will feature rooftop performances by James K and Dawuna as well as the launch of a new edition and activation by artist Nick Sethi.

Entry to the 2022 NY Art Book Fair is ticketed or via advance registration. Some Fair days are ticketed as noted, while programs—including The Classroom, off-site exhibitions, and the NYABF Block Party—are free with registration. Advance registration is highly encouraged due to limited capacity in the building and crowd flow. Limited tickets are available at the door each day. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
